George Kittle has monstrous performance for 49ers following two-week absence
It’s hard to believe George Kittle had been sidelined the past two weekends with a knee injury. The San Francisco 49ers tight end was virtually unstoppable on Sunday night in his return to the field.
Kittle finished the night with 15 receptions for 183 yards and a touchdown in his return on Sunday night. Unfortunately for San Francisco, it wasn’t enough to get the win, as the 49ers fell to the Philadelphia Eagles 25-20.
Despite the loss, everyone was talking about Kittle’s performance. Not only did he post monster numbers, the tight end hauled in all 15 passes that were thrown his direction, finishing the night as close to perfect as you can get.

In just two games this season, Kittle has totaled 19 catches for 227 yards and one touchdown. He’s been targeted 20 times in those two contests.
Kittle is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving seasons for the 49ers. Last season, he was credited with 1,053 yards and five touchdowns on 85 catches. During the 2018 campaign, he hauled in 88 passes for 1,377 yards and five touchdowns.
Next week, Kittle and the Niners are back in action against the Miami Dolphins.
