The San Francisco 49ers (3-5) have jumped to an impressive 14-7 lead over the heavily favored Los Angeles Rams (7-2) thanks to big help from former Iowa tight end George Kittle.

In San Francisco’s first drive against Los Angeles, Kittle caught 3 receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown. San Francisco took an 11-play, 93-yard drive to be the first team on the board on Monday Night Football.

This is Kittle’s second game back from a calf injury that forced him to be placed on IR and miss three weeks. Kittle continues to be one of the most efficient tight ends in the NFL.

In the previous five games this season, Kittle has caught 25 receptions for 328 yards and one touchdown. He eclipsed 100 yards in his first game back last week. Kittle looks to go to his third Pro Bowl in his young NFL career.
