George Kittle is set to make his season debut against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. He has not played a snap, but has been finally cleared per ESPN’s Nick Wagoner.

The news was released after Kittle did not appear on the San Francisco 49er’s injury report on Friday. Kittle had 910 yards receiving with 6 touchdowns in 2021.

Kittle missed the first two games of the season with a groin injury.

In his absence, the 49ers have gone 1-1. San Francisco lost its season opener to the Chicago Bears, but rebounded with a NFC West win over the Seattle Seahawks. Unfortunately, quarterback Trey Lance suffered a season-ending ankle injury against the Seahawks.

Kittle will now be catching passes from a familiar face in Jimmy Garappolo. Garappolo has been Kittle’s QB for the majority of his time with the 49ers, including when the team made a Super Bowl run during the 2019 season.

Kittle’s season debut against the Broncos will be Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
