Iowa is welcoming a new offensive lineman to its 2020 recruiting class.

Wednesday evening, 6-foot-6, 252-pound offensive tackle Mason Richman gave his verbal pledge to the Hawkeyes. He becomes the 11th player to commit to Iowa in the 2020 class, which ranks 21st nationally and fourth in the B1G.

Richman made his announcement via Twitter.

“I would first like to thank all of the coaches who have recruited me up to this point,” Richman wrote. “However above all I would like to thank my mom and dad, my family, my coaches, my teammates and anyone else who has helped me get to this point in my life and I am forever grateful.

“With that being said I would like to announce my commitment to the University of Iowa!!!”

Richman, a three-star prospect, is ranked as one of the top five players out of the state of Kansas. He’s listed as a top 60 offensive tackle in the 2020 recruiting class, according to 247Sports.

Iowa now has three offensive linemen committed in the class. Richman chose the Hawkeyes over 12 other offers, including Kansas, Air Force, Akron, Ball State and Northern Illinois.
