College GameDay’s Lee Corso is still doing one of his favorite traditions to this day on the show.

Corso had fun with the Cyclones crowd as he kept putting their helmet up which got a lot of cheers. The opposite occurred when the Hawkeyes helmet went up as a smattering of boos came from the crowd.

Iowa and Iowa State are slated to kickoff at 4:30 p.m. ET and it’s expected to be one of, if not the game of the day. Both programs are ranked coming into this contest (Iowa State is 9, Iowa is 10) and they haven’t played each other since 2019.

The Hawkeyes won a close game that season (18-17) and in 2018, they also beat the Cyclones as well (13-3). In fact, the Hawkeyes have won the last 5 matchups in the rivalry. Iowa State hasn’t beaten them since 2014 as the final score was 20-17.

Today’s game will be televised by ABC and we’ll also have to see if Corso puts on the Cyclones headgear as College GameDay is currently in its last hour.
