The class of 2023 will be the next to sign, but that doesn’t stop coaching staffs from recruiting the class of 2024, too. Iowa added a fourth commitment to its 2024 recruiting class Saturday with a pledge from an in-state ATH.

Preston Ries out of Monticello announced his plans to play for the Hawkeyes via his Twitter account.

Listed at 6-2, 205 pounds, Ries is rated 3-stars, the No. 5 Iowa product, No. 49 ATH and No. 327 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2024 on the 247Sports Composite. Assistant defensive coordinator, linebackers coach and recruiting coordinator Seth Wallace led the recruitment of Ries for Kirk Ferentz’s staff. Ries also has scholarship offers from Iowa State and Nebraska.
