Iowa has added a new opponent to its 2024 home schedule.

Friday, Iowa announced it will be hosting Troy during the 2024 season. The addition will complete the non-conference schedule for the Hawkeyes in 2024. Also on the schedule that year are Illinois State and Iowa State.

The game is currently scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14 at Kinnick Stadium. It will be the first football game between Iowa and Troy.

With Troy added to the 2024 schedule, Iowa’s non-conference opponents are booked for the next five seasons. In addition to playing in-state rival Iowa State every year, other future opponents for the Hawkeyes include:

  • Northern Iowa (2020)
  • Northern Illinois (2020)
  • Kent State (2021)
  • Colorado State (2021)
  • South Dakota State (2022)
  • Nevada (2022)
  • Western Michigan (2023)
  • Utah State (2023)
  • Illinois State (2024)
  • Troy (2024)

All of those games will be played at Kinnick Stadium.
