It may not be the marquee game of the week for the Big Ten as a whole, but for the Big Ten West division, it can’t get much bigger: Iowa-Northwestern.

Iowa enters with a 6-3 overall record, but is just 3-3 in the Big Ten. Its chances of making it to the Big Ten Championship are extremely slim. For Northwestern, however, the Wildcats own a 5-1 B1G record despite being 5-4 overall.

The game is set for a 3:30 p.m. start on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium. Before the coin gets flipped to see which team will kick or receive, Iowa will have its Honorary Captain go out onto the field.

On Thursday, it was announced that former Hawkeye punter Jason Baker will serve as the Honorary Captain:

Baker played for the Hawkeyes from 1997-2000. He is currently fourth all-time in the Big Ten in both punts and punting yards. Baker ranks first in Iowa history in both categories.
