The 2022 college football season is quickly approaching, and Iowa already has a pair of sellouts on the calendar.
On Wednesday, Iowa announced that games against Iowa State and Michigan have already sold out. The Cyclones come to town for the Cy-Hawk Trophy on Sept. 10. The Wolverines will come to Kinnick Stadium for a B1G Championship Game rematch on Oct. 1.

Due to the 2020 COVID season and the conference-only schedule, Iowa State has not visited Iowa City since 2018. That was a 13-3 win for the Hawkeyes with Iowa winning 6 straight in the rivalry.
Iowa’s last regular season came against Michigan came in 2019 and the last time the Wolverines came to Kinnick Stadium was in 2016. That 2016 matchup was a 14-13 win for the Hawkeyes.
After capturing the B1G West in 2021, Iowa will look to repeat with what should be another formidable defense under Kirk Ferentz.
