Iowa has announced 4 sell-outs on its home slate for the 2023 season.

Games against Western Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue and Minnesota have all sold out, the program announced on Thursday.

Here’s the official announcement:

Additionally, Iowa says there is only a “limited number” of tickets available for its season-opener against Utah State on Sept. 2. Tickets remain available for the Hawkeyes’ final 2 home games against Rutgers and Illinois in November.

Iowa is entering the 2023 season with high expectations. The Hawkeyes went 8-5 a year ago, but boasted one of the nation’s most stout defenses on a weekly basis. Iowa led the nation by allowing just 3.99 yards per play last season.

This offseason, the Hawkeyes brought in former Michigan quarterback Cade McNamara via the transfer portal. McNamara will hope to improve Iowa’s offense in 2023 enough to make the Hawkeyes a Big Ten contender.

Iowa will open the season against Utah State on Sept. 2.
