Iowa has revealed when it will get spring practice rolling.
The Hawkeyes will be back on the field on Tuesday, March 30 for the first day of spring ball. They will then have 15 practices over the course of the next month or so to prepare for the 2021 college football season.
Head coach Kirk Ferentz will be entering his 23rd season as the leader of the program. In over two decades in Iowa City, the Hawkeyes have compiled a 168-106 record, which includes a 103-77 mark in B1G play.
Last year, Iowa started the season off sluggish, falling to Purdue and Northwestern to begin with an 0-2 record. But things turned around quickly and the Hawkeyes won their final six contests, ending with a 6-2 record.
Games against Michigan in Week 9 and a bowl game against Missouri were canceled due to COVID-19 issues with those respective opponents.
Iowa has appeared in the postseason every year since 2013 and has hit double-digit win totals in 2015 (12-2) and 2019 (10-3).
