Iowa baseball announces cancelation of midweek game
Iowa baseball will have to wait a little longer to get back on the field. The Hawkeyes announced Monday that their Tuesday road game has been canceled.
The Hawkeyes are unable to play at Illinois State Tuesday due to the forecasted “real feel” temperature, per a team announcement:
Tuesday’s University of Iowa baseball game at Illinois State has been cancelled due to the expected cold temperatures. There are no plans to make up the contest at this point.
The Missouri Valley Conference threshold for “real feel” is 28 degrees. This is the Hawkeyes’ fourth game this season that has been affected by Mother Nature.
This past weekend, Iowa won its series against Central Michigan, improving to 12-9 on the year. The Hawkeyes return to the field Friday, opening B1G play at Michigan.
