Iowa defensive back Omar Truitt was reportedly arrested and charged early on Sunday morning for drunk driving.

According to the Iowa City Press-Citizen, the redshirt freshman was pulled over during a traffic stop at Iowa Avenue and Linn Street at 12:40 a.m. The Iowa City police reported that Truitt’s breath smelled like alcohol, prompting a breathalyzer test.

Truth’s blood alcohol content was .091, which is over the legal limit of .08. It was his first offense since joining the team in 2014.

The Fort Washington, Md. native has yet to play in a game for the Hawkeyes in his two years in Iowa City.

Iowa has yet to comment on what type of disciplinary action it will take, but a team spokesman did confirm the report with a release.
