Iowa has picked up its seventh commitment for the 2022 recruiting class, crossing state lines to land the latest pledge.

Jacob Bostick, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound wide receiver, announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes on Thursday morning. The Palatine, Illinois native is ranked as one of the Top 10 players out of his home state.

Bostick made announced his decision with a post on Twitter. He picked Iowa over offers from Illinois, Louisville, Cincinnati, Pitt and others. The decision comes after a recent visit to Iowa City.

Per 247Sports, Bostick ranks as one of the Top 100 wide receivers in the class, coming in at No. 84 at his position. He has received a 3-star ranking and joins a Hawkeye class that currently ranks No. 51 nationally.

Bostick is the first wide receiver to commit to Iowa during the cycle. He’s also the first player out of the state of Illinois to give a verbal pledge to Kirk Ferentz and Co.
