Iowa DL after giving Minnesota its first loss: 'We were talking about sinking the boat all week'
Iowa beat Minnesota 23-19 Saturday afternoon. The Hawkeyes were favored to win by a field goal, but were ranked No. 20 by the College Football Playoff committee for a reason.
Minnesota was ranked No. 8. Call it an upset, call it just something that was supposed to happen. It doesn’t matter. What does matter is that the Gophers suffered their first loss of the season.

Minnesota preaches “rowing the boat.” Iowa was all about sinking that Gopher boat.
It did on Saturday. It, at the least, put a big hole in it.
