Iowa DL coach Kelvin Bell is getting his group ready to face Minnesota in a second straight rivalry game for the Hawkeyes. However, Bell’s unit could be down a playmaker for Week 8.

During a Wednesday media session, Bell announced veteran Yahya Black did not practice. Black’s status for Saturday is up in the air, and Bell outlined the plans if he is unable to go.

If Black is indeed a scratch for the weekend, the Hawkeyes would roll with a main 3-man rotation of Logan Lee, Aaron Graves and Jeremiah Pittman at defensive tackle. Lee and Graves have already produced strong numbers this season.
