Iowa has one of the best defenses in the country and proved that once again early in their matchup against No. 4 Penn State.

The Hawkeyes notched its 13th interception of the season when Sean Clifford made an ill-advised throw from the end-zone. He was rolling out to his left and was about to be sacked before he was intercepted by Jestin Jacobs.

Iowa took over at its own 8-yard-line and had a prime shot to go up a touchdown, but Penn State’s defense stood tall. They held the Hawkeyes to a field goal after Petras couldn’t find anyone open in the end-zone on back-to-back plays.

Coming into this game, Jacobs hadn’t recorded an interception thus far this season but had 28 total tackles (16 solo) with 1 forced fumble and 1 pass defended.

The game is currently being televised by FOX.
