Iowa didn’t take its Outback Bowl beatdown lightly.

The Hawkeyes already underwent one major change on the offensive side of the ball with the retirement of coordinator Greg Davis. Offensive line coach Brian Ferentz was promoted to take his place.

The offensive shuffling continued on Thursday.

The Hawkeyes announced that it parted ways with receivers coach Bobby Kennedy and running backs and special teams coach Chris White. Both had been with the program on Ferentz’s staff the last four seasons.

Iowa, despite the fact that it boasted two 1,000-yard rushers, was inconsistent on offense in 2016.

The Hawkeyes struggles in the passing game were most noticeable. After leading receiver Matt VandeBerg went down with a season-ending injury, Iowa struggled to find a consistent target. The Hawkeyes finished the season ranked 13th in the B1G in passing and 12th in total offense.

According to a release, Iowa will conduct a national search to find replacements for Kennedy and White.
