Iowa’s football team is back on Twitter.

Last week, the Hawkeyes had their official Twitter account suspended due to music infringement issues. The program did not have access to the social media account for a week before the suspension was lifted.

The Hawkeyes sent out its first tweet since having the account restored on Saturday, updating fans on a few items that were missed during the suspension.

Last weekend, the school issued a statement on having its Twitter privileges revoked.

“Two University of Iowa Athletics Department official Twitter accounts have been suspended due to music copyright infringement in a limited number of posts in 2018,” Roe told the Des Moines Register. “We are in the process of working with Twitter to resolve the issues and to ensure future posts are in compliance, and as a result, one of the accounts has been reactivated. We appreciate everyone’s patience and support of the UI Athletics Department social media accounts.”

Iowa State also dealt with a suspension from Twitter last weekend.
