There’s no place like home. That’s true for Iowa football as they return to Iowa City to take on Northwestern on homecoming weekend.
The theme of the video posted by the Hawkeye football account on Twitter was “Welcome Home.”
Iowa is coming back home following a 54-10 blowout loss in Columbus in Week 8. The Hawkeyes will be hoping to get back to .500 with a win over the struggling Wildcats.

Iowa is 3-4 through seven games while Northwestern has not won a game since the season opener against Nebraska.
In the series Iowa has handled Northwestern fairly well, with a 52-28 record in the matchup. The Hawkeyes will be looking to avenge the 2020 loss in Iowa City after winning last season’s game in Evanston.
There is some QB competition going on for Iowa. It was announced that the job for QB1 is going to open between Spencer Petras and Alex Padilla.
We’ll see who suits up for the Hawkeyes as they take on Northwestern Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
