Joe Wieskamp will not return to Sunday’s game, per a release from Iowa. The junior was helped to the locker room after sustaining a lower leg injury during the Hawkeyes’ season finale against Wisconsin.

Midway through the half, Wieskamp appeared to roll his ankle while trying to get by a Wisconsin defender. He then had to be helped off the floor and taken to the locker room to address the injury.

Once he rejoined the team on the bench, Wieskamp was seen wearing a walking boot.

Wieskamp had been off to a hot start, making all 5 of his shots from the floor, including a pair of 3-point baskets. He had 12 points in less than 12 minutes of action. The junior also had a rebound and an assist.

Iowa has depended heavily on Wieskamp this season. He’s averaging 15.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game, while shooting 50% from the floor. He’s been a big part of the Hawkeyes’ success on the way to a Top 4 seed in the B1G Tournament.

The Hawkeyes own a 35-26 halftime lead on the Badgers.
