Iowa joins Maryland with special helmet decal for Mental Health Awareness Week
Just like Maryland announced earlier this week, Iowa will also be wearing a special helmet decal in support of mental health awareness.
The decal will be in the form of a green ribbon on the back of the helmet.
Changing the Narrative.

Maryland’s ribbon will also be on the back of the helmet that they’ll wear tonight.
The Terps are 4-0 for the first time since 2016 and if they were to knock off Iowa, it would be their first 5-0 start since 2001. For Iowa, it would be their first 5-0 start since 2015.
This game also has College Football Playoff ramifications as the Hawkeyes are trying to stay as a top 5 team in the country.
No matter what happens though, it’s awesome that both of these schools are wearing the ribbon to support mental health.
