Iowa’s string of success recently has translated to the recruiting trail. After posting back-to-back wins over Minnesota and Illinois the last two weekends, the Hawkeyes got another victory by landing major commitment on Sunday.

Four-star athlete Justice Sullivan, a native of Eden Prairie, Minn., gave his verbal pledge to the Hawkeyes. He made his announcement public via a post on Twitter. He becomes the fourth player of the 2021 class to verbally commit to Kirk Ferentz and Iowa.

“First off I’d like to thank God for everything He’s done for me through this process,” Sullivan wrote. “I would like to thank my parents for their support as I worked my way through this journey. I would also like to thank the rest of my family, coaches and friends who have been with me through this process. Thank you to all the coaches that gave me a chance to play at their school. With all that being said, I would like to announce my commitment to the University of Iowa #gohawks.”

According to 247Sports, Sullivan is ranked as the No. 2 player out of the state of Minnesota and is the 19th ranked athlete in his class. overall, Sullivan ranks No. 231 in the 2021 cycle.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound athlete is currently the second-highest ranked commit in Iowa’s 2021 class, behind only four-star offensive tackle and Iowa native Connor Colby.

Sullivan currently holds three offers, choosing Iowa over rivals Minnesota and Nebraska. It’s early, but Iowa’s 2021 class currently ranks 10th nationally and third in the B1G.
