The Iowa Hawkeyes basketball team picked up a nice win on the recruiting trail.

Ahron Ulis, a 3-star point guard out of Illinois, announced he is committing to the Hawkeyes Tuesday afternoon. Ulis is listed as the No. 6 player out of Illinois and No. 45 point guard nationally for the 2020 class. He chose Iowa over offers from DePaul and New Mexico among others.

He made his announcement with a video on Twitter:

The last name may sound familiar to college basketball fans. Ahron’s older brother Tyler played college basketball for Kentucky. Tyler averaged 11.3 points and 5.3 assists for the Wildcats from 2014-16. Hopefully, Ahron can achieve similar success with the Hawkeyes.
