Waggoner is the highest-rated prospect of Iowa’s 2018 class and is the only four-star commit currently. He is ranked as the top recruit out of Iowa and ranks 20th nationally at his position.
Nationally, Waggoner is tabbed in the top 350 for this class.
Waggoner had 14 offers, half of which came from B1G programs. He chose to stay in his home state, passing on other offers from traditional powers such as Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and Nebraska. He also had offers from Florida, Iowa State, LSU and Oklahoma.
Iowa’s 2018 class ranks 38th nationally and eighth in the B1G, per 247Sports.
