Iowa’s offense has been much maligned to start the season, but the Hawkeyes will get a nice boost in Week 3.
According to reports from Adam Rittenberg and Meghan McKeown, the Hawkeyes will get wide receiver Nico Ragaini back on the field in Week 3. Ragaini was the team’s 3rd-leading receiver in 2021 with 331 receiving yards and a touchdown.
There remains hope that Keagan Johnson – the team’s 2nd-leading receiver last year – will also return against Nevada. Johnson’s status has yet to be determined for the game.

Quarterback Spencer Petras has struggled mightily in the first two games of the season, but some of those struggles have not been related to who is catching the ball. Either way, we’ll see if Ragaini helps stabilize Petras and the offense.
