Iowa will be without a key lineman for at least the next month, Kirk Ferentz said on Tuesday.
Offensive lineman Ike Boettger will miss four to six weeks with a torn Achilles, Ferentz told the media during the B1G coaches teleconference.
KF on Big Ten teleconference talking Boettger: Said they tested to confirm the obvious (torn Achilles), out 4 to 6 weeks.

While the loss of Boettger is significant for Iowa, the injury isn’t nearly as bad as previously expected. The lineman was injured during the Hawkeyes’ 44-41 win over Iowa State and was expected to miss the rest of the season.
Fortunately, it sounds like Boettger will be back on the field at some point this season.
