Iowa picks up 2025 commitment from blue-chip in-state TE
Iowa has made a notable pickup for its 2025 recruiting class.
In-state blue-chip prospect Thomas Meyer is ready to be the next member of TEU. Meyer announced his pledge to the Hawkeyes on Sunday via social media.

A standout of Clear Lake (Iowa) High School, Meyer is listed as measuring 6-5, 210 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Meyer is rated 4-stars, the No. 2 recruit in the state of Iowa, No. 11 tight end and No. 251 prospect overall in the Class of 2025.
Meyer has picked up scholarship offers from 11 teams so far in his recruitment. Duke, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Miami, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Texas A&M and Wisconsin had also expressed in Meyer.
With Meyer on board, Iowa now has five verbal commitments for 2025. The class currently ranks No. 18 nationally on the Composite.
While Meyer’s future is at tight end, he gained all-state recognition as a defensive lineman in his junior season. Highlights from that season can be viewed below, via Hudl:
