Iowa planning special atmosphere in Iowa City for 'Fight for Floyd' vs Minnesota
Who’s ready for a trophy game in Iowa City?
A special game is in store this Saturday as Iowa and Minnesota square off for the Floyd of Rosedale trophy. A long-standing rivalry in the B1G, the Gophers lead the all-time series 62-48-2.
Despite Minnesota’s all-time record, the rivalry of late has been all Iowa. The Hawkeyes have won six of the last seven in the series, including four straight. Also of note, the Gophers have not won in Iowa City since 1999.

There will be a little extra fuel on the fire this year for Iowa. Minnesota enters the game undefeated with a No. 8 ranking on the CFP. Fans have started thinking about a run to the B1G Championship Game, but Kirk Ferentz and the Hawkeyes will get a chance to spoil that special season.
On Wednesday, Hawkeye Football also announced that Saturday’s game will be a blackout. All fans are encouraged to wear black for the game, so show up prepared and ready to set an awesome environment for the Hawkeyes:
