Things have been a little slower on the recruiting front for Iowa recently, but the Hawkeyes were able to add a heavily-recruited defensive back from Florida to the 2021 class.

On Tuesday, Iowa received a verbal pledge from three-star cornerback Jordan Oladokun, who had received 19 total offers. He made his announcement official with a video on Instagram Live. He becomes the ninth player in this cycle to give a commitment to Kirk Ferentz and the Hawkeyes.

Oladokun is also the first player from the state of Florida to commit to Iowa in this class.

Per 247Sports, Oladokun is ranked as the No. 61 cornerback of the 2021 class and is listed as the No. 115 player out of the state of Florida.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Tampa native held 18 additional offers along with Iowa. He picked the Hawkeyes over offers from other Power Five programs included Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Kansas, Louisville, Maryland, Penn State, Pitt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Syracuse and Wake Forest.

With Oladokun’s commitment, Iowa’s class ranks ninth nationally and third in the B1G.
