Iowa’s 13-10 win over Nebraska is hard to believe looking at the box score.

The Huskers outgained the Hawkeyes 334 yards of total offense to 164 on Friday. Nebraska rushed for 144 yards to Iowa’s 49 yards on the ground.

Kirk Ferentz’s team did not convert a 3rd down in the game, going 0-of-10. In fact, the Hawkeyes gained just 5 first downs in the game.

Matt Rhule’s team scored to go up 10-0 with 38 seconds left in the 1st half. It would be the last points put up on the board for the Huskers in the game.

A turnover allowed a 4-play, 2-yard drive to result in the first points of the day for Iowa, making it a 10-3 game.

Early in the 4th quarter, Kaleb Johnson took a backfield pass 72 yards down the field to tie things up 10-10 on a successful PAT.

On Nebraska’s final possession, Dylan Raiola fumbled on the Nebraska 43-yard line. The Hawkeyes recovered and advanced to the 36-yard line with 20 seconds remaining.

Iowa had time for 2 more offensive plays before bringing on Drew Stevens. Stevens was good from 53 yards for the walk-off field goal, delivering the 13-10 victory.
