Iowa is typically known for having a tough rushing attack while being able to play good defense.

Again, typically, that’s what the Hawkeyes are known for. Maybe 2018 is an exception. Part of the reason for this is junior QB Nate Stanley.

Stanley and Iowa were taking on Indiana Saturday and the Hawkeyes got off to a very nice start. Why?

Stanley.

The 6-foot-4 signal caller came into the game with 9 passing TD compared to 4 INT. Now, not even 3 quarters into the game against the Hoosiers, Stanley has 14 passing TD and 4 INT.

With a quarter left to play, he has thrown 5 TD and the Hawkeyes lead 35-16. With his fifth passing score, Stanley did something no other Hawkeye QB has ever achieved:

Stanley has already done this twice before, and he may get his sixth and perhaps seventh if the game keeps going this way. Today will be a day that Stanley won’t forget — and a day that will be marked in Iowa history books as well.
