Iowa QB reportedly hits transfer portal days before B1G Championship Game
An Iowa quarterback has reportedly entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal just a few days before the team heads to Indianapolis to play Michigan in the B1G Championship Game.
David Eickholt of 247Sports is reporting that Deuce Hogan has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. The quarterback was a member of Iowa’s 2020 recruiting class, spending two seasons with the program before exploring more opportunities.
The news comes after Iowa locked up the B1G West title and will head to Lucas Oil Stadium for a chance to win a conference crown. It will be the Hawkeyes first trip to Indy since 2015.

Hogan was a 3-star member of the Iowa 2020 class. He was listed as the No. 450 overall prospect of the cycle and the No. 15 pro-style quarterback.
In his 2 seasons in Iowa City, Hogan has played in just 1 game, throwing 1 completion for 2 yards. He did not play at all in 2020 and only saw action in Iowa’s blowout win over Maryland earlier this season.
Hogan will have all four years of eligibility at his next destination.
