Iowa has emerged as one of the top competitors for the B1G and in the nation. Usually, it is the defense that takes the glory and the recognition for their dominance. This past Saturday, however, it is the high-power offense that gets the spotlight after the 51-14 dominating win at Maryland.

Iowa quarterback Spencer Petras finished the night throwing for 259 yards, 3 touchdowns, and a QBR of 87.7 on 21-for-30 passing. He also rushed for 2 touchdowns against the defense of Maryland.

This was his first game with multiple rushing touchdowns in his career. Petras also led Iowa to its 11th straight win. He was named Rose Bowl Game B1G Player of the Week, which is second in a row for the Hawkeyes.

Petras is a playmaker that can help Iowa get its second-ever B1G West Division title and the first-ever trip to the College Football Playoff. He will lead Iowa this Saturday as the Hawkeyes host No. 4 Penn State in a top-5 matchup.
