Iowa’s offensive performance so far this season has been… underwhelming to say the least.

The Hawkeyes are punting more than any team in the country and have scored less points than total punts all year. That trend cannot continue into B1G play.

Quarterback Spencer Petras is at the root of that offensive ineptitude. Last week, he totaled a quarterback rating of 1. Let’s just say Week 2 wasn’t much better.

3.4 quarterback rating across 2 games seems almost impossible to achieve. Yet here we are. Petras has thrown for 201 yards and 2 interceptions this season as Iowa’s starter.

The Hawkeyes will look to right the ship this week against Nevada. For what it’s worth, Iowa’s depth chart has Petras back out there for Week 3. It’s hard to read too much into weekly depth charts, however.
