Iowa raining threes down on Northwestern in the first half
Iowa has opened up this game by doing whatever it wants to from three-point range against Northwestern so far. The Hawkeyes shot 11-16 from the field, and 68% from three to give themselves a 64-31 lead going into the break.
Keegan Murray and Jordan Bohannon are leading the way with scoring so far for Iowa. Murray has 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 assist. Bohannon has 11 points and 2 assists at half.The turnover battle so far has been fairly close with Northwestern leading in that department 7-5.
Northwestern’s leading scorer in the first half was Pete Nance with 9 points after the first 20 minutes.
While this may seem like a hard ask of Northwestern, Indiana was able to come back after being down 41-28 at halftime, so anything is possible. The Wildcats were also able to pull off a comeback of their own in the 1st round against Nebraska after being down 15 points at one point during that game.
