Iowa RB Ivory Kelly-Martin reveals decision on next season

Iowa running back Ivory Kelly-Martin is calling it a college career and departing for a shot at the NFL. The senior announced on Twitter that he’s declaring for the 2022 NFL Draft.

“I’m happy to have had the chance to wear the Black & Gold and I’ll cherish all the memories I’ve experienced in Iowa City, and especially Kinnick Stadium,” Kelly-Martin said. “I’m excited to say that I’ll be entering the 2022 NFL Draft and fulfilling a childhood dream that is the next step of my career. Thank you for all the love! Go Hawks!”

Kelly-Martin amassed 202 yards and a touchdown on 45 carries this season. For his career, Kelly-Martin totaled 804 yards and six touchdowns. The 5-foot-10, 200-pound Illinois native played at Iowa from 2017-21.

Iowa finished the season with a 10-4 record and captured the B1G West. The Hawkeyes had winning streaks of four and six games this season.
