Iowa revealed contract details for offensive analyst Jon Budmayr, who will be working with Iowa’s quarterbacks during the season.

Budmayr has a 6-month contract with Iowa that will have him working with the program for the entire 2022 season. Budmayr is set to earn $15,833 per month for the duration of the 6-month contract (Via Chad Leistikow with Hawk Central):

“Jon Budmayr will earn $15,833 per month over a six-month period — totaling just under $95,000 — to help elevate the Iowa quarterbacks room. The salary details were obtained Tuesday by the Des Moines Register via a freedom-of-information request.”

Budmayr previously worked at Iowa as a volunteer consultant from April until August. He went from volunteering his time to being a source of help for Iowa’s quarterbacks.

Before his time at Iowa, Budmayr was Wisconsin’s quarterbacks coach from 2018 to 2020, and then he served as Colorado State’s offensive coordinator in 2021. As Colorado State’s offensive coordinator, Budmayr coached against Iowa in September 2021. Colorado State lost to Iowa by 10 points, 24-14.

With his experience at Wisconsin and Colorado State, Budmayr will work hard to improve the quarterbacks at Iowa. Budmayr will be working directly with Spencer Petras and Alex Padilla throughout the next 6 months.

Budmayr’s work will be shown on Saturday, Sept.3 when South Dakota State travels to Iowa to start the season.
