The University of Iowa has released the latest numbers from the COVID-19 tests the athletic department conducted over the last week.

Mike Hlas of the Cedar Rapids Gazette reported on Monday that Iowa’s athletic department conducted 20 COVID-19 screenings for the week of July 20-26. Of those 20, 19 individuals tested negative for the virus with just one positive result.

Iowa has continued to update its testing results on a weekly basis. It’s unclear whether it was all student-athletes who were tested or if it was a mix with coaches and staff, as well.

“Following the positive test result, protocol established by UI Athletics and medical staff, including contact tracing procedures, is being followed to ensure the safety of all UI Athletics student-athletes and staff,” the school said in a statement. “This mandatory protocol also includes isolation for the individuals who test positive, and quarantine for those individuals who might have been exposed to someone with the virus.”

Last week, Iowa announced that it administered 70 COVID-19 tests with 69 being negative and only one positive test.
