Iowa set for largest underdog role in over 2 decades against Ohio State in Week 8
It has not been a fun season for Iowa so far. The Hawkeyes are going to be the largest underdogs since the 2000 season against Ohio State on Saturday.
The one time where Iowa was a larger underdog was against Nebraska in 2000. The Hawkeyes were a 41.5 point underdog in Lincoln. Iowa ended up losing 42-13 to the Huskers on that day. The bye week might not help Iowa’s chances too much.
Iowa is currently at 29 point underdog against Ohio State, according to DraftKings. Ohio State and Iowa have not played each other since 2017. Kirk Ferentz embarrassed Ohio State 55-24 in Iowa City that year.

The Hawkeyes will need to channel any energy that they can from that game if they want to have a chance of upsetting the Buckeyes like that again. Ohio State has dominated Iowa in this series with a 46-3-15 record.
Iowa-Ohio State is set to kickoff Saturday at noon ET on FOX.
