Iowa narrowly defeated Wisconsin 77-73 in their Big Ten regular season finale on Sunday afternoon.

The win secures the No. 3 seed in this week’s Big Ten Tournament for the Hawkeyes. Meanwhile, the Badgers will be the No. 6 seed.

National Player of the Year frontrunner Luka Garza scored 21 points on 9-of-18 shooting. He also picked up a game-high 16 rebounds.

It wasn’t all good news for Iowa, however. The Hawkeyes second-leading scorer, Joe Wieskamp, left the game with an injury in the first half and did not return. He scored 12 points on 5-of-5 shooting in this contest.

In Wieskamp’s absence, Jordan Bohannon stepped up in a big way. He scored 16 points on 12 shots and made several clutch free throws down the stretch.

Micah Potter was Wisconsin’s best offensive player today. He scored 23 points off the bench on 9-of-12 shooting. He made 4-of-6 3-point attempts as well.

The Big Ten Tournament is scheduled to start March 10 in Indianapolis. Selection Sunday is on March 14.
