Iowa is 2-0 this season.

The Hawkeyes have scored 46 points combined in their first two games. That’s not the nation’s worst, but it’s also not something to brag about, either. In Week 2, against a quality opponent in Iowa State, Iowa scored just 13 points.

On Tuesday, tight end T.J. Hockenson — the Hawkeyes’ leading receiver in 2018 — was asked about Iowa’s offense and its frustration level to this point.

He didn’t want to use the word frustration.

Hockenson feels as though the offense is feeling more anxious than anything. They know how good they can be and they know how they have played to this point. It’s not a match.

Iowa can prove its offense is hitting strides in Week 3 when it takes on Northern Iowa at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium. The game will be televised on BTN.
