Iowa to wear special helmet for annual military appreciation celebration
Saturday’s game against Minnesota is going to be a good one in Iowa City.
Kirk Ferentz and the Hawkeyes are going to be ready for the No. 8 team in the country with a special atmosphere in store inside Kinnick Stadium. Iowa has already announced a blackout and annual military appreciation celebration for the ranked showdown. Additionally, Hawkeye football unveiled the uniform combination for the game with a special helmet decal for the Hawkeyes.

For Saturday, the Hawkeyes will be wearing their black helmets that features the logo in red, white, and blue. The Iowa helmet always looks awesome, but there’s no denying this is a nice special touch.

Be ready to show up and make it a special atmosphere for the Hawkeyes and a nightmarish one for the Gophers. Kickoff is set for 4 pm EST on FOX.
