Wieskamp injured his right ankle during the first half of Iowa’s 77-73 win over Wisconsin on March 7. He started that game by shooting 5-of-5 from the field, scoring 12 points.
His presence is vital to Iowa’s success on offense. He’s become of the nation’s best shooters and is an elite floor spacer alongside National Player of the Year contender Luka Garza.
Wieskamp is averaging 15 points per game this season while shooting a staggering 48.9 percent from 3-point range on five attempts per game.
Iowa is in pursuit of a No. 1 or a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. But for the Hawkeyes to have a legitimate chance at the No. 1 line, they’ll need to defeat the Badgers on Friday night — and possibly even win the Big Ten Tournament.
Selection Sunday is on March 14.
