Another week, another rise in the top 25.

Iowa, which earned a 29-20 victory against Illinois on Saturday, moved up from No. 23 to No. 17 in the latest Coaches Poll. The Hawkeyes hadn’t been ranked in the top 25 in five years before last week.

They got to 6-0 for the first time since the 2009 Orange Bowl season thanks in large part to Jordan Canzeri. The Iowa tailback toted the rock a school-record 43 times for 256 yards and a 75-yard touchdown. He got the start without LeShun Daniels, who’s been banged up since the first week of the season.

The Hawkeyes had B1G company in the top 25. Fellow B1G West title contender Northwestern dropped to No. 21 after suffering a 38-0 loss at Michigan to end an undefeated start.

Michigan cracked the poll at No. 14 and was the top riser of any team within the top 25 while Michigan State earned the No. 4 spot and Ohio State held on to No. 1.

The Hawkeyes will look to continue their unbeaten start — but without star defensive end Drew Ott — on Saturday when they travel to Evanston for a B1G West showdown with Northwestern.
