Iowa is looking to get back in the win column during homecoming, and WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette came up with a big play early for the Hawkeyes.

After back-to-back losses, Kirk Ferentz’s squad is looking for a strong start against Purdue. Though Iowa is heavily favored, anything can happen against a Boilermakers squad that has made strides recently.

More plays like this one from Smith-Marsette would go a long way towards ensuring a victory. Smith-Marsette ran a simple fly route down the near sideline and quarterback Nate Stanley made sure to give his guy an opportunity.

He put a beautiful thrown down the sideline with plenty of room for Smith-Marsette to run under it. He did and hauled in the pass with one hand, beautifully making the catch without breaking stride.
