Iowa is going get its shot at Michigan after falling in the B1G Championship last season. The rematch will be the FOX Big Noon Kickoff game in Week 5.

It will not be Iowa’s conference opener, as the Hawkeyes play Rutgers the week before, but it will be a very special game for them. Iowa is coming off of a 27-0 win over Nevada, where there was actually some resemblance of an offense this time.

Spencer Petras had a season high 175 yards passing with 1 touchdown. Kaleb Johnson and Gavin Williams led the way on the ground, with a combined 160 yards rushing. The team also saw the return of Nico Ragaini and Keagan Johnson, who were two of the team’s top receivers from last season.

This will be one of Iowa’s biggest games this season. The Hawkeyes will get a chance to prove everyone wrong, and that they still can compete for a B1G West title. Michigan is 43-15 all-time against Iowa.

Iowa and Michigan meet on the gridiron on Oct. 1.
