Jordan Bohannon’s decision has been made. The guard will be returning to Iowa for one more season.

On Monday, Bohannon announced his decision to suit up for the Hawkeyes for one more year with a video on Twitter. Next season will be the guard’s sixth with the program. He is able to return after the NCAA implemented a blanket waiver for all winter student-athletes during the 2020-21 academic year.

Bohannon averaged 10.6 points, 4.4 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game for the Hawkeyes last season. The team finished the year with a 22-9 record and earned a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. He started in all 31 games.

After the 2019-20 season, Bohannon used a redshirt year because he played in just 10 games due to injury. During his career in Iowa City, the guard has played in 143 games and made 133 starts. He brings a ton of experience back to a team that has lost Luka Garza to the NBA Draft and saw CJ Fredrick and Jack Nunge enter the transfer portal this offseason.

For his career, Bohannon is averaging 11.5 points, 4.5 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game. He’s a career 40% shooter from behind the 3-point line and has knocked down nearly 89% of his free throw attempts. Bohannon’s cumulative field goal percentage is 39% over his five years with the Hawkeyes.
