Iowa football twins Levi and Landan Paulsen will be almost unrecognizable after donating their long locks to the university Dance Marathon’s “Short Hair, Don’t Care” event on Saturday morning.

Eighteen students committed to having their hair cut for the cause this weekend, according to The Daily Iowan. Two of those individuals were the Paulsen brothers, both members of the Hawkeyes’ football program. They committed to cutting their long hair after raising over $15,000 for Dance Marathon during the summer.

“It’s going to be a humbling experience,” Levi told The Daily Iowan. “It’s our last year at the university and we raised a lot of money for a good cause.”

Dance Marathon is an organization at University of Iowa that provides year-round support for children with cancer and their families.

The Paulsen brothers were asked to participate in the event last year, but their hair wasn’t quite long enough to reach donation requirements at the time. At the event, some individuals parted ways with all of their hair while others received a haircut.
