The reigning B1G Defensive Back of the Year has decided his plans for 2022. Iowa’s Riley Moss is electing to return to the program for one final season.

Moss announced the decision on Twitter:

After losing to Michigan in the B1G title game, Moss cited some unfinished business as a motivating factor.

“I have more goals I would like to achieve and this team has more goals to achieve as well,” Moss said. “This has been the hardest decision I have ever had to make, and I am confident that I have made the right one.”

Moss amassed 34 solo tackles, four interceptions, and five pass deflections this season. For his career, the 6-foot-1, 194-pound Iowa native has totaled 111 tackles, 10 interceptions, 15 pass deflections and three touchdowns.

Iowa finished the season with a 10-4 record and captured the B1G West. The Hawkeyes had winning streaks of four and six games this season.
